You don't have a willpower problem — you have a design problem. Enkrateia uses Apple's own Screen Time enforcement to break the compulsive loop in 90 structured days.
The name
Aristotle described enkrateia as self-mastery — not the suppression of desire, but the strength to choose what matters above what distracts. Two thousand years later, the struggle is the same. The apps are new. The principle isn't.
This program won't lecture you. It will hold you accountable. Ninety days. Three phases. One commitment.

The program
The structure is the intervention. Each phase is harder in a different way — not harder to quit, but harder to stay comfortable with how you used to be.
The automatic loop ends here. Your chosen apps are blocked via iOS enforcement — no exceptions, no override, no workarounds. Most people feel the pull strongest on Days 3–7. That's the program working.
Every morning you answer one question: do I want access today? Research shows adding this single deliberate moment reduces impulsive use by 40%. You're restoring the agency compulsion removes.
Lighter guardrails, real proof. By Day 90 you have data: your craving curve, your journal, and a demonstrated ability to function without compulsive scrolling. That's not willpower — that's a new pattern.
How it works
No lengthy setup. Choose which apps to block, pick your start date, and add an accountability partner. If you go 48 hours without checking in, they'll know. That's the point.
Enkrateia uses Apple's Family Controls framework — not a VPN or browser trick. The block is enforced at the OS level. You cannot override it, and neither can we. That's not a bug. That's the feature.
Thirty seconds a day: rate your craving, add a note if you want. Over time you'll see the curve fall. You'll have proof — not a feeling, but data — that the compulsion is loosening.
On Day 1 you'll write a letter to your Day-90 self. On Day 90 it gets delivered. That letter is the only review that matters — and you already know what you want it to say.
Privacy
We built this for people in a genuinely private struggle. Your data is treated with the same discipline we ask of you.
Journal entries are encrypted on your device using AES-256-GCM before transmission. The key lives in your iPhone's Secure Enclave. We cannot read your journal. Nobody can.
Family Controls uses opaque tokens — iOS keeps app names private even from us. We never know which apps you blocked. Your specific struggle is yours alone.
Delete your account directly from Settings — no email required, no waiting period. All data is cleared from our servers within 30 days.
Read the full Privacy Policy — written to be read, not avoided.
